The Culture & Creativity Research Institute (CCRI) is the home of Arts and Humanities Research, Innovation and Enterprise. It hosts an extraordinary interdisciplinary community of established practitioners, world-leading academics, and dynamic research students. The Institute provides leadership for research that engages critically with contemporary societal and global challenges through the deployment of practice-led and culturally critical enquiries and methodologies.
Based in Sheffield Hallam University, the Institute is home to four Research Centres:
- The Art, Design & Media Research Centre (ADMRC) - the ADMRC is the centre for arts-led applied research that interacts with, and transforms, society and culture.
- The Centre for Culture, Media & Society (CCMS) - the CCMS delivers critical insights and knowledge on a diversity of cultural, social and media practices.
- The Humanities Research Centre (HRC) - the HRC hosts critical and socially impactful research from the areas of History, English and Stage & Screen.
- and Lab4Living (L4L) - L4L is an interdisciplinary research group undertaking world-leading research in design for health.
